Title reveal coming. The first ripple.
The Series
The water is calming. The world begins anew.
At the center of this world is the Still Lake — water wider than a country, older than the nations on its shores, and the source of every act of magic in it. Its surface is time itself: draw power from the Lake and ripples spread through the present, the past, and the future. A small draw fades in moments. A deep one can land centuries away.
The magic is called Flowcraft, and it cannot be commanded. It is received: you go still, the Lake gives what it chooses, and it keeps a price for everything it gives. Some are born with the shape to work it and the vessel to contain it. Very few ever learn the lesson underneath it — the difference between receiving what the water offers, and reaching for what it doesn't.
Two thousand years ago the Lake's stillness broke — the cataclysm the histories call the Surge, the reason the world you'll walk into is stitched together from what survived. Every generation since has rebuilt a little more, and as the story begins, the last aftershocks are finally fading. The water is calming. The world begins anew. The Chronicles follow the people who must decide what gets built next — and what it costs them.
The Shape of It
One story, told in four trilogies — twelve books spanning roughly three thousand years, the world before the Surge and the world remade after it. It begins with the first trilogy, below.
Trilogy One
The first trilogy releases across a single year — and each book is finished before the one before it reaches you. Book Two will be complete before Book One ever ships. The wait between volumes is a season, not a decade.
